Mount Alexander Sunset for Sky Watch Friday

The granite outcrop of Mount Alexander rises 350 metres above the nearby township of Harcourt. Enjoy bushwalking, picnics, lookouts with stunning views and a chance to see some of Australia's iconic wildlife.

Within the 1,400ha of Mount Alexander Regional Park there are a number of magnificent lookouts including Lang's Lookout, Dog Rocks and Shepherd's Flat that offer spectacular views over the surrounding landscape. The 4km long West Ridge Walking Track provides a link between these lookouts, while Joseph Young Drive provides vehicle access to Dog's Rocks and Lang's Lookout, as well as the Leanganook Picnic Area.

While exploring the Park, visitors can regularly see Eastern Grey Kangaroos and Black Wallabies, along with numerous native bird species. Keen eyed and patient visitors might also be able to spot Koalas among the Manna Gum trees (identified by distinctive smooth bark with ribbons of handing bark), and the endangered Brush-tailed Phascogale, Echidnas and Sugar Gliders.

Tamshui Taiwan Dock for Skywatch Friday

The water was actually clean in contrast to my childhood memory.

Tamsui Old Street is divided into the inner and outer side. The outer street is the golden anchor walkway of Tamsui river coast, while the inner side is a traditional old street lined with bustling shops. There are faithfully traditional pastry shops, groceries and stores selling trendy outfits and toys. The popular foods in the area include A Gei, fish ball, fried fish crackers, traditionally baked cake, Granny’s iron eggs, etc. are all must try goodies. In the evening, the beautiful scenery of the sun setting below the ocean horizon can be seen along the golden anchor walkway.

Port Fairy for Water H2O Thursday

This town has a smell in the air. Like a sewage plant. Locals told me that there was a certain smell from the soil in town.

Merri Sanctuary Sunset, Warrnambool for Treasure Tuesday

This dusk took me out of a surprise as weather forecast predicted a whole day of continuous storm. The weather bureau department needs to be sacked altogether

I think I am done in this region. Another 2 weeks to go then back to civilisation.

Joel works 5 days a week in a senior position of a retail chain. I brought some crispy pork to house during a workday as he works from home. Then I discover that he has yet slept for 48 hours as he is trying to get the server back up for the company. He looks terrible. It reminds me that it is a blessing that I do not need to work everyday anymore.

I discovered an old film photo from Year 9 that Joel and I travelled to Canberra Australia in 1993.

I was pissed off that he couldn't stop playing heavy metal on his Walkman.

Cumbernum Coast for Skywatch Friday

I did not wait until the sunset for this shot. The rock is called elephant rock which does not look like it from this angle.

Montfort Beach for Sky watch Friday

The sea is turbulent. The sky is actually less angry than what happens beneath it.

Montfort Beach for Skywatch Friday

Melbourne has been wet for several consecutive weekends.

The beach is cold and magical moments are hard to find.

This weekend is likely to be less rainy. My pal and I gonna take another adventure.

Noosa Sunset for Sky Friday

Noosa is really over the top with the urban scrawl. I find it unpleasant to travel through. The scenery takes a long while to find.

Avalon Airshow for Sunday Best

I woke up early at 5 30 am. It took 2 hour congested traffic to reach Avalon Aiport. The queue was 6km with the car. It follows by 1 km queue to get inside the airport.

Then I heard the queue was even longer for late comers to the ground.
